About the Friends

Friends of Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Park are just that - dedicated individuals who care about, preserve and promote the educational and interpretive programs of Nancy Island Historic Site and Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. These sites are priceless natural and heritage resources for pleasure and learning in the midst of Ontario's busiest resort community.

Through financial support and volunteer work, the Friends, a non-profit organization, sponsor a variety of park events and activities designed to enhance your understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park.

Perhaps you've experienced one of the entertaining evening programs about the brave crew of the HMS Nancy, or listened with delight at one of Wasaga Beach's fabulous Jazz in the Park nights.

Maybe you've shivered during a Winterfest Fun Ski Race at the Wasaga Nordic Centre, or watched your child learn about our fascinating and rare Eastern Hog-nosed snake.

The Friends sponsor all of these popular events, as well as numerous others.

Jazz Band

The Friends sponsor the kind of interpretive programs that make a visit to Wasaga Beach informative and fun. But to do this, we need your help.

By becoming a Friend, your dues will provide vital financial assistance. You can offer additional help by choosing to work as a volunteer. Your support will ensure that Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Provincial Park will continue to thrive.
