Park Watch Program

The Wasaga Beach Park Watch Program was designed to help prevent criminal activities, vandalism and environmental degradation to provincial park lands, town playgrounds and recreational areas, trail corridors, and other public spaces.  This program encourages residents and visitors to report incidents of vandalism, wrongful or suspicious activities, unauthorized fires, illegal motorized vehicle activity or other misconduct on provincial park lands and town public spaces.

Benefits of the Wasaga Beach Park Watch Program Include:

P = Prevents vandalism, crime and misuse of park and public spaces

A = Assigns signage to inform citizens of how the program works

R = Reduces repair and restoration costs for equipment and facilities

K = Keeps our parks safe especially for children and seniors

W = Watches out for potential misuse of park property

A = Awareness of activities taking place in our parks

T = Teaches that our parks belong to all of us

C = Creates community pride as people cooperate to ensure safe, clean and enjoyable parks

H = Helps law enforcement and park maintenance efforts

For your safety, do not engage or approach any situation that appears threatening or unsafe.  Note any information possible and contact the appropriate agency as soon as possible to report the incident.
